Pedal cars for kids come in all shapes and sizes, so how do you choose the best one for you?
There are several factors that all parents and children should consider when making the decision to buy a new berg pedal car.
1. Price range
Available go-karts start at around 150 and go up to over 750 for healthier and more specialized go-karts suitable for all terrains and competitions. As with most purchases, you get what you pay for, with the more expensive models lasting longer and offering a much better ride.
2. For one or more drivers
Some go-karts are equipped with extra seats, making it more fun for your child, brother or sister or friends. This extra seat can easily be added to some models. A mounting trailer is also available. Be careful when purchasing an extra seat as many models only offer seats up to 30kg and therefore are often not suitable for taller passengers. In this case, a supplement for 2 seats and a carriage is usually a better solution.
3. Age and size of the kart.
Depending on the age and size of the child, there are several series of karts to choose from. Most starts in the 3 to 8-year range, and some continue to 11 years and beyond. Multiple adjustable seats allow standard karts to grow with children.
Cars are available in various colours from pink, red, black to multicolour. Something for every child's experience.
5. Warranty and Service
Most go-karts come with a 1-year warranty, but there are some types made in Germany that can offer a 2-year warranty and a 5-year frame warranty.
